Midwest First Star Inc is a proud franchisee of Hardee's operating a total of 24 restaurants in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. We are a company that excels at two things; restaurant management and growth. We are currently managing a total of 2 brands and 26 units in four states; a number we have reached from our proud beginning ten years ago with just two Nathans Famous locations. Today we employe more than 500 people.
Despite our rapid growth and expansion throughout Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and New york, MFS has maintained a close-knit family culture in which every individual is treated with mutual support and respect.

Management Team
Farooq Shah
Farooq Shah, CEO, has 16+ years of restaurant experience.
From a very early age Shah toured restaurants with his father and learned high
value, quality, service and cleanliness gives a success to a restaurant
business. After serving several years as
an investment banker; in 1996 Shah purchased two existing Nathans Famous
restaurants in the New York market. Since that humble beginning his leadership
has guided the company to success and now claims the franchise rights to 26
locations with development agreements for many more.
Mike Mehmood
Mike Mehmood has 12+ years of restaurant experience. Mike grew up very close to the restaurant business. Mike successfully operated and managed seven Dunkin Donuts and two Nathans locations. Mr. Mehmood has continued to increase sales with fast and friendly service. He has a strong drive for improvement and success which is always easy to see. He is a master at keeping restaurant employees motivated,while at the same time educated about variables that add up to success.

Jon Bouse
Jon Bouse has 21+ years of service with Hardees and works as the District Manager for Indianapolis. Jon has nine stores working under him and has quite a track record improving his stores quickly. In 2011 he managed to find ways to cut food cost dramatically in all of his stores. Jon is known for his high standards of quality control and is always striving to improve upon himself. Mr. Bouse understands the importance of his employees and continually seeks new ways to bring them closer to promote a welcoming work environment.
Julie Monroe
Julie Monroe, District Manager for Cleveland, has worked for Hardees for 25+ years. She has worked in eight different stores in the Ohio area. Ms. Monroe has also worked every crew position and has been a General Manager since the age of 22. She was General Manager for 13 years and in this time she achieved a highest score from FBC assessments and sync. Her restaurant has lowest complains in the region. Julie is always trying to beat the competition by having the best employees around.
